Burning Heart

 

 

Just finished Eric’s sugar skull with a set of starburst lab-grown rubies.  They’ve got a badass pinkish hue.  Fantastic look against the black.  Very Elvis.

 

 

This is the Big Voodoo at its best.  When you carve up a custom skull ring, it’s always a dialogue.  The Big Voodoo has its own opinion about how it’s gonna look.  I planned for this to look great, but I didn’t expect it to come out THIS crazy once the stones were set.  Another hard one to give away.   But this is Eric’s baby and it is shipping today.

Elvis’ Triumph

For Elvis’ mini Voodoo, I’m going to play around with including the 60’s Triumph logo (often seen on Cafe’ Racers).  Elvis has got himself a badass Thruxton and seems only fitting that his Little Voodoo is designed to suit.

I’m not crazy about the text itself, but the triangle with the rivet-holes is slick.  Think I’ll ditch the “Triumph” text and replace with “ELV13.”  Might keep “made in Great Britain” though.   Still thinking about it.  This whole bike thing may not work for a ring as small as the Little Voodoo.

 

Elvis’ Rangs

Elvis McRae.  Skull jewelry and counter-culture critic.   I made two rings for Elvis.  That’s right.  Elvis.  Thinking about carving something on the shank.

The great Tony Creed has made an Elvis ring for this hombre, so I want to do something different.

 

Thinking about using “Elvis” but incorporating “13” into the design.  “ELV13” or something similar.

I’ll have to jaw it over with the man himself.
